Since you are reading this page, we will assume that you are considering membership at Salem Lutheran Church. Praise God!

All are welcome at SLC. Whether you have never belonged to a church or are transfering your membership from another ELCA church, or Christian denomination, you belong here!

Feel free to worship with us - and keep coming back - until you are ready to join our church. We will do our best to ensure that you always feel welcome. Feel free to get involved in the various ministries of our church. You do not need to be a member to do so.

When you are ready to join SLC, please let the pastor know! We want to celebrate with you. 

Thereafter, we will have you fill out the form at the bottom of this page, meet with the pastor who will answer any questions you may have, and then formally welcome you into your new church on a New Member Sunday!

One of the things you can share with our pastor, is whether or not you've been baptized. If you have not, we will talk to you about joining the church through baptism. To learn more about this sacrament look under the tab "Contact Us" on our website.

If you have already been baptized, we will encourage you to join SLC by transfer.

In closing, we want you to know that we are praying that you will find a church home here. We believe that God is at work, constantly growing the church, that we may share love, and serve together, in Montevideo and beyond.
